There are currently two casual Kennel Assistant positions tobe filled.

The Role

Reporting to the Companion Animals Team Leader and based inMulgrave, the Kennel Assistant is responsible for the care of impoundedanimals, including health checks, feeding, cleaning, exercising animals andmaintenance of the shelter.

About You

You will be passionate about animal welfare and will haveexperience maintaining commercial animal impounding premises. You have ademonstrated ability to identify and report animal health concerns. You areexperienced in the handling of animals and managing animal behavior.

Essential Criteria

- Cert II or above in animal related study orstudying an animal related qualification




- Experience maintaining commercial impoundingpremises
- Animal handling experience and knowledge of animal behavior
- Great verbal and written communication
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft suite ofapplications
- Current class C driver licence
- The right to live and work in Australia
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- The successful applicant will be required toundergo background (police) checks and medical declaration

Desirable Criteria

- Knowledge of shelter management software such asShelterbuddy and Companion animal Register
- NSW companion animal microchipping accreditation
- Animal First aid/ nursing Experience
