Casual Retail Sales Assistant — Berwick Village Jewellers
About the Role
Berwick Village Jewellers is seeking a friendly, experienced and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our family-owned jewellery store in Berwick, VIC.
This casual position offers versatile working hours within our roster. A minimum of two years’ retail experience, jewellery sales experience, and availability to work Fridays and Saturdays are essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering exceptional customer service and helping customers choose jewellery that suits their needs
- Keeping the store, product displays and merchandise neat and well presented
- Processing sales, handling cash and operating our point-of-sale system
- Restocking merchandise, updating product tickets and maintaining displays
- Accurately maintaining and updating our customer database
- Supporting the Store Manager with day-to-day store duties
- Working with our marketing team to assist with social media and take photos for content
What We’re Looking For
- At least minimum of one year of retail experience is required
- Jewellery sales experience is essential
- Availability to work Fridays and Saturdays is essential , with flexibility for other shifts
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional approach
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
- Reliability, honesty, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Confidence using computers, point-of-sale systems, basic apps and social media platforms
- Experience using and maintaining customer databases is essential
- Marketing or social media experience is highly regarded
