About Eudaemon
Eudaemon Technologies is an Australian medical-device start-up developing and manufacturing next-generation sexual and reproductive health products, beginning with an innovative polymer-based condom technology.
We operate at the intersection of materials science, advanced manufacturing and regulated medical-device development. As we progress from late-stage research and development into pilot manufacturing, clinical evaluation and early commercialisation, we are building the team that will help bring our technology to market.
About the role
We are looking for a practical, reliable and detail-oriented Production Assistant to support our day-to-day manufacturing activities at our Annandale facility.
This is a hands-on position involving production, post-processing, product handling, cleaning, equipment preparation, packaging and production documentation. Some activities are repetitive and physically demanding, so the role will suit someone who enjoys practical work and can maintain accuracy and concentration while performing structured production tasks.
You will initially work under the direction of experienced production, engineering and technical personnel. As you complete training and demonstrate competency, you may progressively assist with equipment operation, quality-control testing and other technical or product-development activities.
No two stages of Eudaemon’s growth will look exactly the same. You will need to be adaptable, willing to learn and comfortable working across different production activities in a developing manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine production, post-processing, product-handling and packaging activities.
- Prepare materials, equipment and work areas for production.
- Complete equipment setup, cleaning and changeover activities in accordance with approved instructions.
- Operate production equipment after completing the required training.
- Perform routine production checks and inspections.
- Accurately complete production records and other required documentation.
- Identify and report defects, deviations, equipment problems and unusual results.
- Maintain clean, secure and organised production areas.
- Assist with routine quality-control and product-testing activities once trained.
- Support engineering and technical personnel with the preparation of materials, equipment and samples.
- Work in accordance with Eudaemon’s quality-management system, procedures and WHS requirements.
About you
You are comfortable performing hands-on, repetitive and physically active work and understand that consistency is essential in a regulated manufacturing environment.
You will bring:
- a careful and methodical approach to practical work;
- strong attention to detail;
- the ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions;
- an interest in learning manufacturing equipment and processes;
- an understanding of the importance of accurate records and product traceability;
- basic digital skills;
- clear communication and a willingness to ask questions;
- a reliable and collaborative approach to teamwork; and
- a commitment to workplace safety and product quality.
A technical, manufacturing, laboratory or science qualification is welcomed but not essential where you can demonstrate relevant practical experience and technical aptitude.
Previous experience in manufacturing, production, laboratory work, medical devices or another hands-on environment would be advantageous. However, training will be provided to the right candidate.
Physical and working requirements
The position is based onsite at Eudaemon’s facility at 18 Cahill Street, Annandale.
The role involves:
- standing for extended periods;
- repetitive manual activities;
- handling production materials and equipment;
- wearing required personal protective equipment;
- completing cleaning and workplace-preparation activities; and
- following manual-handling and ergonomic requirements.
Reasonable workplace adjustments can be discussed as part of the recruitment process.
Why join Eudaemon?
This is an opportunity to:
- join an Australian company developing innovative medical-device technology;
- gain practical experience in pilot and regulated manufacturing;
- learn about production, quality control and medical-device documentation;
- work closely with engineers, scientists and technical specialists; and
- develop broader production and technical capabilities as Eudaemon grows.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
Eudaemon Technologies is committed to providing a respectful, inclusive and safe workplace. We welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
