Operational Services Officer - Groundsperson

What your day could look like
As an Operational Services Officer - Groundsperson, you will help create an environment that is safe, welcoming and well maintained for patients, residents, visitors and staff. From caring for gardens and outdoor spaces to supporting the smooth operation of health service facilities, your work will contribute to a positive experience for everyone who visits the service.
Every day, you will contribute by:
- Maintaining attractive, functional grounds and landscapes that enhance the wellbeing of patients, residents and visitors.
- Delivering high‑quality grounds maintenance while balancing priorities and responding to operational needs.
- Safely operating and caring for equipment, tools and resources to ensure reliable service delivery.
- Supporting a clean, secure and productive health service through waste management, facility upkeep and broader operational services.

Here’s what will help you thrive in this role:
- Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening or horticultural services.
- Ability to safely operate, maintain and complete minor upkeep of grounds equipment.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety, manual handling practices and safe chemical use.
- A current C Class Driver Licence and a team-oriented, reliable approach to work.
You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have a Certificate III in Horticulture (or are working towards it) and/or experience maintaining grounds in healthcare, aged care or community settings.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is passionate about creating safe, welcoming spaces and bringing courage and care to the work they do every day.
