CPAP Direct is a retail and clinical leader in the sleep apnoea industry across Australia. We have 20 retail stores and a large e-commerce business and are the ‘go-to’ destination for people to research, be diagnosed and treated successfully for sleep-related conditions.

We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a motivated and experienced Retail Sales Assistant to join our Penrith store .

Working Hours: Monday to Wednesday, 9:00am–5:00pm, and every Saturday, 9:00am–2:00pm.

What You’ll Be Doing – Full & Comprehensive Training Provided!

While existing expertise is an advantage, it is not essential for this role. If you have a great attitude and personality, along with strong experience in client-focused retail, customer service and sales, we will teach you what you need to know about the sleep and CPAP therapy industry.

Using your strong interpersonal and sales skills, you’ll get a buzz out of enhancing the lives of your customers and helping them feel alive again. You’ll easily connect and communicate with people in a natural way. You’re a great listener, curious about people and have a ‘can-do’ approach to finding solutions that meet their needs.

You’ll feel right at home if a positive and supportive environment is where you’re able to do your best work. We believe it’s crucial to provide five-star service to our customers at every interaction, whether that’s by phone, email or in person.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Setting up home sleep tests
- Assisting customers with CPAP purchases, including machines, masks and accessories
- Troubleshooting issues with CPAP equipment




- Building rapport and effective relationships with customers
- Providing patient education and advice on sleep health
- Using POS systems
- Basic reporting, general administration and cleaning duties as required
- Providing exceptional customer and after-sales service
- Building professional relationships within the sleep health industry

Here Are a Few Things We Think Will Make You Ideal for This Role

- Whilst Pharmacy, CPAP, Optometry, Audiology and other healthcare retail experience is preferred, it is not essential. Attitude is more significant, and we are happy to train the right person.
- You have previous experience in a busy, multi-tasking retail or customer service role
- You have a strong customer service focus, with empathy, compassion and a drive to deliver the best patient-centric outcomes
- You thrive under pressure and work well both independently and as part of a team
- You have strong communication skills, with the ability to respond quickly to the needs of our customers
- You’re a quick learner, with initiative and tenacity
- You bring enthusiasm, positivity and a genuine work ethic to ‘get things done’
- You have proven integrity, professionalism and discretion and are comfortable handling sensitive information
