Are you a school leaver or junior looking to start a practical career where you can learn valuable skills on the job?
TRILITY is looking for a Trainee Service Technician to join our team in Yatala, Queensland.
As your skills and confidence grow, you’ll have the opportunity to develop towards a mechanical or instrumentation trade in a specialist water-treatment career.
Key responsibilities
Working alongside experienced technicians, you will learn to:
- Assist with servicing and maintaining chemical dosing equipment and water-treatment equipment
- Assist with installing chemical pipework, components and associated equipment
- Calibrate, service and repair water-quality instruments
- Assist with fault finding, troubleshooting and practical problem solving
- Identify parts and equipment required for service and maintenance work
- Prepare accurate service reports and use digital tools to record and submit site information
- Follow secure work procedures, company processes and quality standards
- Complete product, technical and safety training
- Assist with improving systems, processes and safe ways of working
- Provide professional and friendly service when working with customers and at customer sites
What we are looking for
We’re looking for a school leaver, junior or someone looking at starting a career in the water industry who is keen to learn and develop practical technical skills. You’ll ideally have:
- A positive, reliable and can-do attitude
- A genuine interest in practical, hands-on and technical work
- A willingness to learn, take feedback and develop new skills
- Good basic maths, reading and communication skills
- Good concentration, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- The ability to follow instructions, ask questions and work safely
- A team-first attitude and professional approach with customers and colleagues
- Comfort using phones, tablets, computers and other digital tools
- A current driver licence and willingness to travel to customer sites
- A Construction Induction White Card, or willingness to obtain one, plus the ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role
