Forklift & Logistics Officer - $42.90 p/hr – Carole Park

Location: Carole park, QLD

Pay Rate: $2.90 per hour

Hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm

Duration: Minimum 8 weeks, with potential for ongoing work

We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift & Logistics Officer to join a busy warehouse and distribution operation in Carole Park.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with strong forklift, warehouse and transport experience who is comfortable working with oversized and difficult‑to‑handle freight.

The Client:

A National brand specialising in the cement and timber building industries, located in Rosehill.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Loading and unloading Rigids, B‑Doubles and Semis
- Operating an 8‑tonne forklift
- Loading oversized pallets, including products up to 6 metres long
- Moving products between rework, strapping and storage areas
- Transferring products to and from external storage areas
- Pick packing, palletising and shrink wrapping stock
- Working with oversized, heavy and awkward freight
- Supporting delivery coordination and product movements between sites
- Liaising with Customer Service, Supply Chain and external transport providers
- Assisting with procurement, receiving and replenishment of accessories
- Maintaining accurate stock and shipment information
- Ensuring all activities comply with WHS, safe manual handling and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
- Maintaining clear communication with internal and external stakeholders

About the Environment

This is a busy,



loud, dusty and at times dirty working setting . You will need to be comfortable working outdoors and around heavy vehicles, large freight and warehouse operations.

Forklifts are also operated on shared roads , so a current NSW driver’s licence is essential.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

- Current NSW LF Forklift Licence
- Current NSW Driver Licence
- Proven experience operating an 8‑tonne forklift
- Experience loading and unloading Rigids, B‑Doubles and Semis
- Experience handling oversized pallets and ugly freight
- Experience with timber, wood products or similarly oversized stock
- Pick packing and palletising experience
- Manual and machine shrink‑wrapping experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong understanding of WHS requirements
- Previous experience working in a fast‑paced warehouse, logistics, distribution or transport environment
- The ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with other teams
- A willingness to commit to a minimum 4‑week assignment, with the potential for ongoing work

Logistics & Administration Experience

The successful candidate will ideally also have:

- At least 2 years' experience in warehousing, logistics, distribution or transport administration
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems
- Intermediate Excel and general computer skills
- Understanding of Australian road freight and heavy vehicle Chain of Responsibility legislation
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship‑management skills
- The ability to adapt to changing operational requirements
