Female Support Worker Required – Ryde and Merryland Area

IDEA Innovative Disability Engagement Australia – Ryde NSW

Provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants in the Ryde and Merrylands areas. The role requires a reliable, flexible and compassionate support worker with a positive can-do attitude, confidence working independently, and previous experience supporting people with intellectual disability and complex support needs.

Key responsibilities

- Provide person-centred support based on individual needs and goals
- Support participants with daily living activities and routines
- Assist with community access, appointments, shopping and social activities
- Provide personal care where required
- Support participants to develop and maintain independence and life skills




- Follow individual support plans and behaviour support strategies where applicable
- Complete accurate shift notes and relevant documentation
- Maintain professional boundaries and communicate effectively with participants, families and the wider support team

About you

- Experienced in supporting people with intellectual disability
- Patient, respectful, compassionate and reliable
- Flexible with availability and willing to work across Ryde and/or Merrylands
- Proactive, with a positive can-do attitude
- Confident managing different situations while remaining calm and skilled
- A good communicator and able to work independently as well as part of a team
