Ferrari Dental Care is seeking a Qualified Dental Assistant to join our friendly and professional team in Eltham, VIC. This is a part-time position that offers flexibility whilst maintaining the high standard of care our patients expect. As a Qualified Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental practitioners and ensuring our clinic operates smoothly. You will assist with clinical procedures, manage patient interactions, and maintain our treatment areas to the highest standards of hygiene and organisation.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting dentists during patient treatment procedures, including chairside support and instrument passing
- Preparing treatment areas and sterilising dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Providing chairside patient support to ensure comfort and confidence during procedures
- Managing patient flow and scheduling to optimise clinic efficiency
- Assisting our Hygiene team with patient education regarding oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Performing administrative tasks including appointment booking and patient communication
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and infection control standards

What we're looking for

- Current First Aid Certificate (CPR preferred)
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments,



and clinical protocols
- Demonstrated experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting (3 references required)
- Excellent infection control practices and understanding of sterilisation procedures
- Outstanding patient communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
- Reliability and professional demeanour
- Experience with dental practice management software is advantageous
