Ongoing Part Time – 56 hours per fortnight

We are seeking a motivated and organised Administration Officer to work on the Acute Ward.

As part of the role successful applicants will be required to be available to provide additional coverage during periods of staff leave, including annual leave and other unplanned leave, to help ensure continuity of administrative support within the ward. Job share arrangements will be considered. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team and make a valuable contribution to patient care through high-quality administrative support.

About you:

- Experience in providing quality customer service in reception/frontline role
- Demonstrated computer literacy with accurate data entry
- Demonstrated capacity to follow procedures, manage time and organise workload efficiently
- Willingness to learn and be receptive to feedback
- Ability to work positively and constructively with staff from a variety of professional backgrounds

Previous experience working in the health industry - desirable

Portland District Health (PDH) provides an integrated health service for the community. The hospital was established in 1856 on the current site and now provides a comprehensive range of services that include:

- Hospital based Medical and Surgical services, Medical Imaging (Radiology), Pharmacy and Pathology
- A 24/7 Urgent Care Centre for emergency treatment
- Residential aged care for 30 residents at Harbourside Lodge
- An extensive range of primary and community services for the local community

PDH delivers services from a single campus, employs around 470 staff with an FTE of approximately 290, and has an active volunteer workforce.



The People and Culture Unit sits within the Corporate Services Directorate, with other Units including Finance, Building Services, Food Services, Environmental Services, Executive Support, Administration and Health Information.
