At CSBS, we're looking for a dedicated and reliable Support Worker to join our team supporting a participant in the Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast area.

About the Role
Location: Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast
Employment Type: Casual
This role involves supporting a participant both at home and in the community, with a strong focus on community access, health and wellbeing, and achieving individual goals. The successful applicant will be confident engaging with the participant, encouraging independence, and supporting participation in regular exercise and fitness-based activities.
Available Hours
This position offers a consistent roster of 33 hours per fortnight , including a combination of day, evening, sleepover, and weekend shifts:
- Wednesday: 7:00am - 5:00pm (both weeks)
- Friday (Week 1): 4:00pm - 11:00pm, followed by a sleepover and morning support until 7:00am Saturday
- Saturday (Week 2): 5:00pm - 11:00pm, followed by a sleepover and morning support until 7:00am Sunday
Duties May Include
- Supporting community access and social participation
- Assisting with exercise, fitness, and healthy lifestyle goals
- Transport to appointments and community activities
- Providing daily living support
- Meal planning and preparation
- Domestic assistance and household tasks
- Supporting skill development and independence
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress notes
- Building positive relationships and encouraging confidence
- Following individual support plans and routines
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Clear spoken and written English
- Reliability and commitment to a consistent roster
- A positive, encouraging, and engaging attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A reasonable level of fitness and confidence participating in active community-based supports, including exercise and gym activities
- The ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries
Highly Regarded
- Experience supporting people with psychosocial disability
- Experience supporting people on the autism spectrum
- Experience within disability, community, mental health, or aged care services
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support practicesExperience supporting people to build independence and community connections
What You'll Need
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
- Reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Smartphone with access to mobile apps and documentation systems
- Availability to work the roster outlined above
