Jamaica Blue Lake Haven is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Cooks and Café Allrounders to join our dynamic team in Lake Haven, NSW. Experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided. This is a full-time, part time or casual position based at our vibrant café location. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food and beverages whilst maintaining exceptional standards of food safety, presentation and customer service. You will be a key member of our kitchen and café operations, contributing to the exceptional dining experience our guests expect from Jamaica Blue.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and cooking a variety of café menu items using fresh ingredients and proven culinary techniques
- Operating café equipment including espresso machines, grinders, and food preparation tools with proficiency and care
- Maintaining meticulous food preparation and plating standards to ensure consistency and visual appeal
- Managing food inventory, stock rotation and organising kitchen supplies efficiently
- Adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Assisting with café operations including till transactions, customer service and general housekeeping duties
- Responding flexibly to changing customer demands and service requirements throughout shifts
- Contributing to a positive and supportive team environment whilst maintaining professional standards

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a cook or in a café kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of café operations, food safety and customer service standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining high-quality output during peak service times




- Flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of kitchen and café tasks as required
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a positive, collaborative attitude
- Commitment to food hygiene and safety compliance, with relevant qualifications or willingness to obtain them
- Physical fitness and capability to work on your feet for extended periods
- A passion for quality food and beverages with attention to detail
- Previous experience with point-of-sale systems or café management is advantageous
- Versatile availability is essential as weekend work may be required
