WT Med – The Doctors on Erin Street is a well-regarded medical practice dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare and support to our patients. We pride ourselves on professionalism, compassion, and efficiency across every aspect of our service.
We are currently seeking a motivated and friendly individual to join our busy team as a Medical Receptionist, working approximately 15 to 20 hours per week.
Must be available to work Monday's, Thursday's & Friday's.
About the Role
As our Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, helping create a warm, welcoming, and organised environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients with a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments accurately and efficiently
- Register new patients and update demographic information as required
- Process patient payments and issue receipts
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area
- Liaise with doctors, nursing staff, and external providers to ensure smooth patient flow
- Perform general administrative duties such as emailing, faxing, scanning, and data entry
About You
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting (highly desirable)
- Proficiency in Best Practice software, Microsoft Word, and Excel (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of Medicare, DVA and WorkCover billing procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to prioritise, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
- Professional appearance and a positive, can-do attitude
- Current CPR certificate
