We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our team at our beautiful 105-place centre in Albion Park, NSW .

As our Kitchen Hand, you will work alongside our Centre Chef to support the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen, helping to ensure children receive fresh, nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.

About the Role
As our Kitchen Hand , you will work closely with the Centre Chef to support the daily operation of the kitchen at our Albion Park centre.
You will assist with food preparation, cleaning, washing dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene,
and ensuring the kitchen is organised and ready for daily meal service.
This role is ideal for someone who is hardworking, reliable, organised, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming kitchen environment.
Your Responsibilities
As our Kitchen Hand, you will:
- Assist the Centre Chef with daily food preparation and kitchen duties.
- Assist with preparing fresh and nutritious meals and snacks for children.
- Wash dishes, utensils, equipment, and kitchen items.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety throughout the kitchen.
- Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, floors, equipment, and storage areas.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organising food and kitchen supplies.
- Help maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure food is stored correctly.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, allergy, and dietary requirement procedures.
- Support the Centre Chef with the smooth and timely preparation and service of meals.
- Ensure the kitchen is kept organised, safe, and ready for daily operations.
- Follow MindChamps policies, procedures, and relevant NSW food safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the Centre Chef, educators, and wider centre team.
About You
You are someone who:

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have
- Previous experience in a kitchen, hospitality, childcare, aged care, or similar environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organisation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
- A current NSW Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one.
- A genuine interest in supporting children's health, wellbeing, and development.
