About the Role

Joblin Partners is recruiting aHR Superintendent for a leading mining operation in North Queensland. The role suits candidates across the broader North Queensland and Whitsundays region, with employees driving in from locations including Townsville, Charters Towers, Bowen and surrounding areas. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role will play a key role in shaping HR strategy, managing employee and industrial relations, and partnering with site leadership to enhance workforce engagement. As HR Superintendent, you will oversee the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on employee relations, performance management, and cultural transformation . Working closely with the General Manager Operations and key site leaders, you will be responsible for embedding HR best practice, supporting leadership capability, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide expert employee and industrial relations advice across disciplinary matters, investigations, grievances and other workplace issues.
- Support workforce planning, retention, succession planning and broader employee engagement initiatives across the operation.
- Work closely with the HR Manager to implement HR strategies, policies, processes and leadership frameworks across the business.
- Coach and support leaders through performance management, employee development and broader people-related matters.




- Maintain strong HR governance and compliance across employment legislation, modern awards, enterprise agreements and internal policies.

About You

- Strong employee relations experience and the confidence to manage complex workplace matters.
- Comfortable partnering with operational and site leadership teams and influencing outcomes across the business.
- You will have a sound understanding of Australian employment legislation, modern awards and enterprise agreements.
- Genuine interest in improving workplace culture, leadership capability and employee engagement.
- Solid communicator with the ability to build credibility across a broad range of stakeholders.
- Ideally, you will hold tertiary qualifications in HR, industrial relations or a related discipline, although relevant experience will also be considered.
