# Fitter & TurnerNorth West QLD · Permanent · Posted 7 Oct 2026## About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter & Turner to join our fixed plant maintenance team on a mining operation in north west Queensland. In this role, you will be responsible for executing mechanical maintenance, inspections, repairs, and machining work across heavy processing plant infrastructure—ensuring maximum equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Perform preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant machinery, including crushers, conveyors, ball mills, screens, pumps, and gearboxes. - Execute machining, manual turning, and precision fitting tasks to fabricate or repair critical componentry in office. - Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system faults efficiently to minimize plant downtime. - Conduct precision alignments, bearing replacements, and drive system overhauls. - Uphold strict site safety standards, taking an active role in risk assessments, JSEA/SWMS development, and toolbox talks.## Positions Available* Fitter & Turner — trade certified* Fixed plant maintenance experience (crushers, conveyors,
