Job Description
- Develop and integrate C++ software for autonomous vehicle applications.
- Support and optimise Linux-based systems.
- Collaborate with software, systems and vehicle engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and software issues.
- Integrate and validate autonomous driving technologies.
- Execute testing and verification activities.
- Maintain high-quality code using Git and best practices.
- Document technical solutions and system changes.
- Support deployment and commissioning activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and product innovation.
The Successful Applicant
A successful AD Integration Engineer should have:
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Linux environments.
- Experience in systems integration and software engineering.
- Expertise in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues.
- Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.
- Understanding of testing and validation processes.
- Excellent collaboration skills within cross-functional engineering teams.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Must have an ESTA eligible passport
- Strong commercial experience with C++ development and Linux-based systems.
- A background in software engineering, systems integration or related engineering disciplines.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience using Git and modern software development practices.
- Knowledge of software testing, validation and verification methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in robotics, autonomous systems or autonomous vehicles.
- Exposure to ROS/ROS2, Python or Docker.
- Experience working with embedded systems or vehicle integration.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, SPI or I2C.
- Background in mechatronics, controls engineering, industrial automation or related fields.
- Experience supporting software deployments in real-world operational environments.
