Nepean Hospital is seeking a passionate Radiation Therapist to help provide safe, accurate and patient-centred radiation therapy services within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

In this frontline clinical role, you will simulate, plan and treat patients using ionising radiation in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining high technical standards of radiation therapy practice. You will safely operate specialised equipment in accordance with radiation safety requirements and work health and safety standards, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care at every stage of treatment. Working closely with patients, carers, students and colleagues,



you will build strong professional relationships and contribute to a collaborative team culture focused on achieving the best possible patient outcomes.

You will also play an important role in the ongoing development and enhancement of clinical protocols and treatment techniques, supporting continuous service improvement and clinical excellence. What you will bring to the role

- Bachelor’s degree in medical Radiation Science (Radiation Therapy) or Bachelor of Applied Science or qualification deemed equivalent by employer; General Registration as a Medical Radiation Therapist by Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority and holder of IA13 and S13 Radiation User Licence (NSW EPA Licence).
- Demonstrate independent and significant recent professional knowledge,



judgement and experience to acquire and exhibit competence in all aspects of appropriate clinical tasks.
- Recent and demonstrated experience and technical skills in advanced Planning techniques, incorporating multi-modality image registration for techniques such as IMRT and VMAT.
- Demonstrated evidence of contribution to a high functioning team that encourages collaboration, participation, and respect in shared team goals.
- Dedicated commitment in providing a high level of individual patient care with an understanding of patient needs and psychology, as well as work health and safety issues (e.g. manual handling).
- Open and friendly communicator with demonstrated communication skills in written, verbal, and electronic formats.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience within the multi-disciplinary team of more complex modalities including quality assurance and improvement, work health and safety and radiation safety.
- Demonstrated significant ongoing commitment in Continuing Education and Professional Development of self and others, including students to satisfy accreditation through AHPRA as per the MRPB requirements.
