Whether you're supporting a child to communicate, helping someone maintain independence, assisting a family through challenging circumstances or delivering specialist services, your expertise helps people achieve outcomes that matter most to them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a clinical caseload of clients in accordance within service provision guidelines and/or external agency requirements.
- Provide physiotherapy assessment, intervention, and evaluation to clients at our onsite centre and in community settings, including hydrotherapy.
- Achieve client outcomes through a collaborative team approach to therapy in consultation with families, carers, guardians, healthcare and education providers
- Prescribe assistive and therapeutic mobility and postural equipment as required.
- Provide an integrated and holistic service to the client through positive and effective liaisons with all interdisciplinary team members.
- Deliver and participate in skill-based group programs.
- Provide information and support to parents, professionals and other relevant individuals to facilitate client care.
- Use the Client Management System and other systems for client and funding related documentation.
- Meet individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Actively seek information from the organisation’s Process Mapping System and contribute to the creation and ongoing improvement of processes through providing input, feedback and suggestions.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of professional physiotherapy practices.
- Other duties as required by Team Leader or Program Manager.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and general registration with AHPRA to practice in Tasmania.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a case load of clients, consistently meeting service delivery objectives and timeframes
- Understanding of the Disability and Community Sectors and in particular knowledge related to disability client directed care and the application of person-centred practices
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills as this role requires you to work within an interdisciplinary team, external organisations and a varied client base
- Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive, concise and accurate reports for client recommendations
- Strong administration and organisation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to travel to client appointments and other locations as needed in a timely manner.
- Previous experience and knowledge in working in the early intervention space or with children with a disability
- Previous Physiotherapy experience
- Knowledge of funding streams e.g. NDIS, Medicare.
Required Compliance Documents:
- Current National Police Clearance
- Working with Vulnerable People Check Tasmania (with NDIS endorsement)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- AHPRA Registration
