Relationships Manager (Recruitment & Growth)
Relationships Manager (Recruitment & Growth) | Disability Support
The first phone call. The first meet and greet. The first interview. At Brothers, that’s you, and that interaction sets the tone for the rest of the relationship.
Who we are: We’re an NDIS-registered disability support provider for males across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Disability support for males, by males. We support males living with autism, acquired brain injury, psychosocial disability and vision impairment, and we run Supported Independent Living homes. We don’t just show up, care and clock off. Our team of 100 Brothers build real relationships with the people we support, and change their lives for the better.
The role: You’re the first point of contact for everyone coming into Brothers: applicants, participants, families and referrers. So you need to be Brothers to a T. Warm, energetic, genuine, sincere, and someone people instantly feel they can trust. Mateship starts with the first conversation.
You sit in the Growth team beside our Marketing Lead. Marketing creates and qualifies attention, and you turn it into great Brothers on the team and participants who are well supported from day one.
It’s a real mix. You’ll spend plenty of time on the phone, run meet and greets and interviews in person, and do careful paperwork, especially for participants, where getting it right matters.
Who this is for (and who it isn’t): This role is for someone who has worked in disability, NDIS or care in some form, whether as a support worker, support coordinator, in intake or in recruitment in the sector. You understand what valuable support looks like and what participants and families are going through. It’s not for you if you’d rather stay behind a desk,
or if detailed paperwork feels like a chore. Industry experience is a must.
What you’ll own:
Referral network
Build and keep robust, genuine relationships with support coordinators, plan managers, LACs, hospitals, allied health, schools and community groups.
Get out and meet them face to face, check in regularly and make referring to Brothers easy.
Keep referrers updated on every referral from first contact to service start, so they trust us with the next one.
Find and open new referral sources in the areas and services we’re growing into, including SIL and new regions.
Recruitment
Own recruitment from application to onboarding. Take applicants from the Marketing Lead, screen them quickly and fairly, and keep high-volume hiring moving without dropping anyone through the cracks.
Run phone screens and interviews, use good judgement on who will make a great Brother, and make clear, timely offers.
Oversee the distribution of compliant employment contracts, pre-employment checks, including NDIS Worker Screening.
Hand new Brothers into onboarding and training with everything in place, and check in early so they settle in and stay.
Participant intake
Take participant leads from Marketing, screen them for fit and run meet and greets in person, always led by what the participant wants, with dignity and consent non-negotiable.
Own intake paperwork, service agreements and participant documentation. Keep it accurate,
complete and compliant, and explain it in plain language.
Hand each participant cleanly to Operations so rostering and support start smoothly and nothing has to be asked twice.
Growth and leadership
Work with Operations and Marketing on where we need staff and what kind, which clients are coming through, and our SIL capacity, so recruitment stays ahead of demand.
Be a proactive member of the leadership team. Bring clear updates on both pipelines, raise capacity and staffing issues early, and get your rocks and to-dos done on time.
About you:
You’re a people person through and through, confident on the phone and face to face, and you make people feel at ease from the first hello.
You enjoy walking into a room of people you don’t know. You remember names and what matters to them, and you follow up without being chased.
You’re warm but organised. You can have a genuine conversation with a family in the morning and get a service agreement or contract exactly right in the afternoon.
You’ve got good judgement on people, and you’re honest and kind when someone isn’t the right fit.
You’re commercially aware, and you think ahead about capacity rather than reacting to it.
You’re comfortable with CRM and pipeline tools, and you use AI to take the grunt work out of admin without outsourcing your judgement.
You live our values of mateship, passion, growth mindset and humility naturally, not as a script.
Most importantly, you care about people and believe in Changing Lives for the Better.
