We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. South Newman Primary School (PS) students are successful, motivated learners who achieve their personal best in a supportive learning environment. Our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Care and Compassion are used in our everyday dealings with each other and in the development of our program and policies. These values form the purpose of our school and the foundation for ensuring the best school environment for all members of our community. This is what we call The Newman Way. South Newman PS is a progressive and engaging school where there is a balance between high performance and high care. The wellbeing of staff and students is paramount. We are a very collaborative school with a solid focus on teamwork and supporting students to do their very best in all areas. We pride ourselves on teaching in a supportive and engaging regional school. Our school has been named a Quality Teaching Strategy (QTS) Lead School for Teaching and Learning four years in a row now. South Newman PS is using a whole school explicit instruction approach to lesson delivery. We have whole school plans and programs that the successful applicant will be able to follow. We are very supportive of new staff and have comprehensive induction with ongoing professional learning to help new teachers learn the programs we run. We take very seriously the obligation of supporting and developing graduate teachers. Many graduate teachers have won promotional and city positions after a few years of working at our school due to the extra opportunities provided while working here. At South Newman PS staff, students and parents strive to create an engaging and welcoming school community. As an Independent Public School located in the heart of the Pilbara region, we cater for an ever-changing student population, reflective of the town's mining industry. We provide high quality education for students from more than 20 nationalities, many of whom enrol at our school with English as their second language.

Suitable applicants will become an integral part of this community partnership to support each child to reach their potential.
