The Role
The Graphic and Web Designer supports the development, maintenance and updating of ACECQA's print and digital resources. The primary focus of the role is desktop publishing and graphic design, including the production and ongoing maintenance of public-facing publications, guides, reports, learning resources and other branded materials. The role also provides secondary support for the ACECQA website, including routine content updates, webpage development and digital asset preparation.
This role is full-time and fixed term up to 6 months at ACECQA Band 4 ($91,867- $102,446) .
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Demonstrated advanced skills using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.
- Demonstrated experience designing and producing qualified print and digital resources, including complex publications and branded materials.
- Strong understanding of document accessibility, layout and quality assurance, including experience preparing accessible PDFs.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to interpret content and develop practical design solutions.
- Experience using a Content Management System to update and maintain web content.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to apply branding and design standards consistently.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet agreed deadlines.
While not essential, the following attributes will greatly assist you in the role:
- Experience working with Drupal or another enterprise Content Management System.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Experience creating infographics, diagrams, icons and other visual assets.
- Experience using animation, motion graphics or video tools such as Vyond, Camtasia or Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Experience using web analytics or digital publishingtools.
- Experience working in government, regulatory, education or another environment producing complex public-facing resources.
