Job Description

The Trustee for JMK Automotive Trust T/A BALLARAT CITY MOTORCYCLES based in Delacombe, VIC 3356 are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified Motorcycle Mechanic to join their service department.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

- Dismantle engines and repair or replace defective parts, such as magnetos, carburetors, and generators
- Remove cylinder heads, grind valves, and scrape off carbon, and replace defective valves, pistons, cylinders and rings, using hand tools and power tools
- Repair or replace other parts, such as headlights, horns, handlebar controls, gasoline and oil tanks, starters and mufflers
- Repair and adjust motorcycle subassemblies such as forks, transmissions, brakes, and drive chains, according to specifications




- Replace defective parts, using hand tools, arbor presses, versatile power presses, or power tools
- Reassemble and test subassembly units
- Disassemble subassembly units and examine condition, movement or alignment of parts visually or using gauges

Skills and Abilities

Must be an Australian citizen of Permanent resident. Certificate III in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology or equivalent

Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Motorcycle Mechanic The ability to work in a team environment

Salary range is $75,000 -$85,000 commensurate with experience

Hours: fulltime
