McArthur is seeking an experienced APS6 Senior Investigations Officer for a major Commonwealth Government regulatory agency in Canberra.
This is an opportunity for an experienced regulatory, fraud, integrity or enforcement investigator to undertake complex investigations in a high-profile Commonwealth workplace.
The opportunity
Working with a specialist regulatory team, you will independently undertake risk-based investigations into potential legislative non-compliance.
You will analyse information from multiple sources, use data and intelligence to identify high-risk behaviours and emerging issues, develop investigation strategies and prepare high-quality briefs, reports and recommendations for senior decision-makers.
You will also contribute to the development of investigation practices and provide guidance and support to less experienced staff.
A Certificate IV in Government Investigations is highly desirable.
About you
We are particularly interested in candidates with recent, hands-on investigation experience within:
Commonwealth or state regulatory agencies; compliance and enforcement; fraud; integrity; financial investigations; misconduct investigations; intelligence-led investigations; or another statutory enforcement environment.
You should be able to demonstrate that you have personally managed complex matters, assessed evidence, applied legislation or regulatory frameworks, exercised sound judgement and produced defensible recommendations or enforcement outcomes.
Experience mentoring or guiding junior investigators will also be highly regarded.

$91,140-$102,152 + 15.4% superannuation
