This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027. The Role

The successful applicant should have high expectations, exhibit a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and establish and maintain positive relationships. You should be flexible and able to apply strategies for differentiated instruction in the Mathematics curriculum under the guidance of a collaborative leadership structure including a dedicated Head of Learning Area who will provide mentoring around curriculum and instructional strategies. Additionally, teachers at the school are expected to embrace the Whole School Instructional Model which features components of an Explicit Direct Instruction methodology. We place high value on robust communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, anticipating your active contribution to shaping and promoting the school’s values, vision and priorities throughout the entire school community. You will ideally be actively involved, both within the school and wider community, highly reflective of your teaching practices and committed to evidence-based decision making and differentiation. The successful applicant should be motivated, possessing the ability to teach secondary Mathematics and will ideally be knowledgeable of the Western Australian Curriculum. The ability to teach General Year 11 and 12 courses would be advantageous.
You should be a teacher who aspires for academic excellence and is committed to high-quality teaching and learning. The remaining AITSL domain will be assessed as part of the further assessment stage, for shortlisted applicants only.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment,
teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
