Schools Engagement and Recruitment Assistant

From hands-on experiences at Swinburne to building connections with schools and supporting events behind the scenes, no two days are quite the same!

The Schools Engagement and Recruitment Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Schools Engagement and Schools Recruitment teams, contributing to Swinburne's domestic student engagement and recruitment activities. The role supports the coordination and delivery of on-campus events and activities, as well as providing administrative assistance to on-campus and off-campus specialists. This includes supporting event logistics, preparing resources, coordinating communications and completing administrative tasks that enable the teams to deliver their annual calendar of school engagement and student recruitment activities effectively and efficiently.

The Schools Recruitment team delivers initiatives designed to attract prospective students to Swinburne, while the Schools Engagement team builds and maintains relationships with schools and delivers engagement activities that extend beyond direct student recruitment. These activities may include educational experiences, school partnerships and other initiatives that strengthen Swinburne's relationships with schools and their communities. The Assistant provides practical and administrative support to on-campus and off-campus events, helping ensure coordination and resourcing are appropriate and effective.

About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

- Demonstrated experience providing administrative and operational support for events and activities. Strong interpersonal communication, teamwork and negotiation skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Superior time management skills, and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Experience working with secondary schools and career practitioners desirable.

Qualifications Completion of an associate diploma level qualification in marketing / communications or equivalent with relevant work related experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
