Our client is an established boutique accounting and advisory practice in the Newcastle and Hunter region looking to add an experienced Business Services Accountant to its growing team.

The opportunity is open to accountants from Intermediate through to Senior/Supervisor level , with the responsibilities and salary package tailored to your experience.

Whether you're looking to strengthen your technical skills and gain greater client exposure, or you're ready to manage client relationships, review work and mentor developing accountants, this role offers genuine scope to progress.

The Opportunity

Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:

- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, BAS and other compliance work
- Working across companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and SMSFs
- Tax planning, structuring and business advisory support
- Developing and managing direct client relationships
- Liaising with the ATO and external stakeholders
- Reviewing work and mentoring junior team members at the more senior level

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 2 years' experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm is essential
- Business Services accounting experience across tax and compliance
- CA/CPA qualified, currently studying or interested in commencing
- Robust communication and client service skills
- Working knowledge of Xero,



Microsoft Office and cloud-based accounting systems
- For Senior/Supervisor candidates, experience reviewing work, managing client relationships and mentoring staff will be highly regarded
