The Company…

The Company is a leading not-for-profit microenterprise development organizationthat exists to help Indigenous and other Australians in disadvantagedcircumstances to improve their situations through the provision ofmicroenterprise and community economic development support. Their purpose is towork alongside individuals and communities, offering accessible businessdevelopment support, products, and services, including pro-bono legal adviceand microfinance and business loans. To assist with the expansion of theirservices in the Northern Territory region, they are looking for a suitablyexperienced Business Coach.

The Position…
In this position as a Small Business Coach(Microenterprise Development Manager), you will have aportfolio ofclients with the objective to provide individualized coaching to allow clientsto start, stay and thrive in their own business.

Some of the keyresponsibilities include:

- Promotingand establishing relationships and key networks with local stakeholders,such as Job Actives, TAFE Colleges, Indigenous and community leaders, andrelevant organizations and associations.

- Providingindividual business coaching to your clients by offering guidance,encouragement, and assistance across all key areas of business developmentwith the goal of establishing to start their own business.

- Whererequired, provide finance and other product support as the clientsprepare, start, sustain, and grow their business.





- Managingclient loan applications and preparing loan credit committeerecommendations, and loan portfolio management.

Ideal Candidate...

The Ideal Candidate may be someone who may have run their own business,been a business coach, or has associated experience, with a strong financial orbanking background.Have community development or social enterpriseexperience having managed budgets and business plans. We are lookingfor motivated self-starters who are energized by challenges and have the opportunityto help people move ahead in business and out of welfare dependency.

Key requirements:

- Tertiaryqualifications in business, finance, or community development (orequivalent)

- A strongunderstanding of small business operations, including cash flow andviability

- The abilityto lead, mentor, coach and educate individuals in the program through bothface-to-face and video conferences .

- Experiencein data analysis and business plans

- Highlydeveloped interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintainclient relationships

- Abilitytowork in an autonomous, dynamic, and flexible work environment with anemphasis on a high level of customer service.

- Experiencewith Stakeholder engagement, including presentations and workshops.

- Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills, incl. highly developedinterpersonal skills with an ability to relate with a wide range ofpeople, in a variety of settings

- Currentdriver’s license and the ability to frequent intra-regional travel arerequired
