We’re looking for a qualified electrician who’s ready to step off the tools and transition into a long‑term operations role within our growing solar and electrical business. This position is ideal for someone who still enjoys the technical side of the trade but wants a change from physical site work and is interested in estimating, scheduling, and project coordination.

Estimating & Service Electrician (Solar & Electrical)

About the Role

You’ll work closely with our installation teams, customers, and suppliers to scope jobs, prepare quotes, coordinate schedules, and ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

- Attend site inspections and assess customer requirements including plans, drawings and specifications
- Build rapport, understand customer needs, and clearly explain suitable options that genuinely meet their requirements
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions that meet company pricing requirements
- Follow up quotes professionally and confidently
- Assist with scheduling installations and allocation of work
- Support our team of electricians and office staff with servicing requests, troubleshooting, and technical expertise




- Communicate professionally with customers, installers, and stakeholders
- Work with our builders and industry professionals to generate current project opportunities
- Maintain accurate job documentation and compliance records

What We’re Looking For

- Licensed electrician with solid experience across solar, batteries, and general electrical work
- Confident with technology, job management systems, and digital tools
- Excellent communication and organisational skills - with the ability to explain technical information clearly and simply
- Professional, well‑presented, and able to build rapport naturally
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable following up customers when required
- Happy to be hands‑on when needed — able to undertake service work when required
- Works well as part of a team and contributes to smooth workflow across operations
