Moranbah Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Acute and Emergency Department on a contract basis from 21 December 2026 to 17 January 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for a rural nursing professional with emergency experience to contribute to a busy regional healthcare service in Moranbah, Queensland. Working on a rotating roster of 8 and 12-hour shifts, you'll deliver high-quality acute and emergency care to the local community, with a maximum of 80 hours per fortnight.

Preferred Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in emergency nursing and rural healthcare settings
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Grade 5 classification)
- Ability to work effectively across rotating 8 and 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment
- Robust clinical assessment and decision-making skills in acute and emergency contexts
- Flexibility and adaptability in a regional hospital setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Familiarity with Queensland Health systems including ieMR, FirstNet, PowerChart, and HBCIS
- Previous experience with Queensland Health, Mackay Hospital and Health Service, or Australian public health systems
