8+ Years Experience | Singleton & Hunter Valley
Qualified Termite & Pest Management Technician
CPR Pest Management Services is looking for an experienced Qualified Termite & Pest Management Technician to join our locally owned and operated team in Singleton.
We're not simply looking for someone with the right licence or someone who can get through a list of jobs.
We're looking for someone who genuinely cares about the work they do and the service they provide.
Someone who enjoys solving problems, sharing their knowledge and, most importantly, helping people.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll have at least 8 years’ industry experience, with strong practical knowledge of termite and timber pest management.
But experience alone isn’t what will make you the right fit.
We want someone who still takes genuine pride in their trade.
When a customer is concerned about termites in their home, they’re relying on your experience to help them understand what’s happening and what they should do next.
We want a technician who will take the time to listen, investigate properly and give honest, practical advice — without unnecessary scare tactics or pressure.
Someone who can confidently say:
"I’ve inspected this properly, I’ve documented what I’ve found, and I’m comfortable putting my name to it."
You’ll also understand that your knowledge has value beyond the individual job.
We want someone who enjoys sharing what they’ve learned — whether that’s educating a customer, helping a less experienced technician understand something on site or contributing their knowledge to the wider team.
We’re looking for someone who cares about getting it right.
REPORT WRITING MATTERS
If you’ve worked in termite management for any length of time, you’ll understand why.
A great inspection followed by a poor report isn’t a great inspection.
Your report is what the customer relies on once you’ve left their property.
We’re looking for someone who produces reports that are clear, accurate, skilled and supported by relevant photographs.
You need to be comfortable documenting what you’ve inspected, what you’ve found, what you couldn’t access, areas of concern and what you recommend happens next.
If reports are something you rush through at the end of the day, this probably isn’t the position for you.
If you take pride in producing a report that properly reflects the work you’ve completed, we’d like to talk to you.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Termite and timber pest inspections
- Identification of termite activity, damage and conducive conditions
- Termite management and treatment recommendations
- Installation and maintenance of termite management systems
- Monitoring and ongoing termite management
- Detailed reporting and photographic documentation
- Residential pest management
- Commercial pest management
- Customer education and advice
- Supporting and sharing knowledge with other members of our team
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 8+ years' pest management experience
- Appropriate pest management and timber pest qualifications/licensing
- Strong termite inspection and management experience
- High standard of written reporting
- Positive communication and customer service skills
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Ability to work confidently and independently
- Professional presentation
- Commitment to WHS, compliance and industry standards
- Willingness to travel throughout Singleton and the wider Hunter Valley
Servicing our region involves driving, including regular travel through heavy mine-related traffic. You need to be comfortable with this being part of your working day.
WHAT WE OFFER
We’re not going to fill this section with promises that sound great in an advertisement but are difficult to deliver in the real world.
We’re a small, established regional business, and we’d rather be upfront about what we can offer.
You’ll receive:
- Competitive remuneration based on your experience and capability
- Fully maintained company vehicle
- Fuel card for work-related travel
- Tablet, uniforms and equipment provided
- Permanent, stable employment
- Ongoing training and professional development
- Variety across termite, residential and commercial work
- The trust to use your experience and professional judgement
- A workplace where quality is more important than simply racing through another job
- Direct access to the people running the business
- The opportunity to share your knowledge and have genuine input into the team
We’re not interested in advertising an impressive earning figure that relies on excessive overtime, unrealistic targets or bonuses you may never achieve.
We’ll have an open conversation about remuneration based on your qualifications, experience and what you can bring to the role.
