About the Role
As the Families Services Team Manager at Junction, you will provide operational leadership, practice oversight and strategic direction across a diverse portfolio of family support programs,
You will working closely with the Head of Children, Youth and Families to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering high quality, family centred services to children, young people and families experiencing vulnerability, disability, family conflict and complex support needs.
This is more than a people-management role as you will play a key role in shaping service delivery, strengthening practice capability and driving the integration of the Family services portfolio including NDIS support coordination, connecting, strengthening and restoring families' services streams.
You will champion contemporary, trauma informed, strengths based and culturally responsive approaches, with a strong focus on early intervention, prevention, safety, inclusion, wellbeing and building long-term resilience for children, young people and families.
This is a part-time 60 hours per fortnight, fixed term contract opportunity until 30th June 2027, based at our Wodonga office.
What You Can Expect
In the role, you will:
- Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary family services team, fostering strong practice and performance.
- Provide supervision, mentoring and support to staff managing complex cases and competing demands.
- Oversee caseloads, service delivery, program performance, reporting and quality assurance.
- Ensure services meet legislative,
regulatory, funding and organisational requirements.
- Drive risk management, best-practice case management and continuous practice improvement.
- Monitor client outcomes, documentation, audits, targets and data to ensure service effectiveness.
- Manage brokerage and flexible funding within delegated authority.
- Respond to client and family concerns and support effective resolution.
- Build strong partnerships with government, statutory, community and regional stakeholders.
- Represent Junction at relevant meetings, networks and forums.
- Support the implementation of new and emerging programs and contribute to strategic planning and service development.
About You
You'll bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Science, Social Science or a related discipline, with at least 2 years’ experience in staff supervision and leadership.
- Demonstrated experience and strong understanding of the Family Services sector.
- Proven ability to provide effective supervision, leadership and practice direction, supported by sound theoretical knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of case management frameworks and strengths based, client centred practice.
- Experience supporting children, young people and families experiencing family violence, family conflict and complex support needs will be highly regarded.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal,
organisational and administrative skills.
- A commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive and family centred practice.
