Role Description

Do you have experience in HFC, aerial telecommunications, or similar field-based infrastructure works and looking for security and long-term employment?

Immediate start opportunities are available for HFC Technicians to support a telecommunications decommissioning program across Victoria. This role is a field-based role and involves the removal of legacy aerial HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) infrastructure in accordance with client and safety requirements.

Please note: This role is specific to HFC decommissioning works and differs from traditional telecommunications technician or rigging roles.





Your role will include, but not be limited to:

- Removal of aerial HFC network (coaxial cable and steel messenger)
- Network removal between poles
- Operation of EWP and/or ladders where required
- Cutting and removal of steel messenger (approx. 6–12mm) and associated cabling
- Compliance with SWMS, SWI, and client procedures

Skills and Experience Required:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Drivers Licence
- Work safely at Heights
- OHS General induction white card
- HR Licence advantageous
- Provide first aid and CPR
- Working safely near live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker
- Perform Elevated Work Platform Rescue and Controlled Descent Escape
- Provide First Aid in an ESI Environment
- Safe to Climb
