Girri Birrang is building a small, permanent civil crew in the Snowy Mountains, and we want locals.
We need a carpenter or builder who likes variety. Some days it’s formwork, framing or a structure; other days it’s drainage, fencing, concrete or helping the civil crew get a job finished. Most of the work is around Jindabyne and Cooma, with travel across the Eden-Monaro when needed.
What you’ll be doing
- Carpentry: formwork, framing, decks, small structures, fit-off and repairs
- General civil works: concreting, drainage, fencing, kerb and footpath, site prep and clean-up
- Setting out and reading plans
- Working alongside operators and pitching in wherever the job needs it
- Working safely and keeping your tools and site in order
What you’ll bring
- A carpentry trade (Cert III) or solid building experience
- Willingness to do general civil work as well as carpentry
- White Card and a current driver licence
- Your own hand tools
- You live in the Snowy region - Jindabyne, Cooma, Berridale or nearby
- Happy to travel across the Eden-Monaro when required
- Permanent full-time local work, home most nights
