About the department
The Women’s Emergency Care centre is the Royal Women’s Hospital’s (level 2) emergency department. Each year the team cares for over 28,000 women and babies, supported by the medical teams within the Royal Women’s hospital and across the Parkville precinct.No two days are ever the same as you empower and care for women and their families. Our nursing/midwifery staff are integral to the Women’s Emergency Care centre and are supported by a dedicated team of educators.
About the role
As an integral member of the Women’s Emergency Care team, you will be responsible for triage, emergency assessment and the acute care of women and neonates.
In a regular day you will see:

About you
To be successful in this roleyou'llbe:
- An AHPRA registeredNurseANDMidwifewitha minimum of two years post-registration experience in an acutehealthcare setting.
- A clinician focused on excellent care and exceptional clinical experiences.
- An outstanding communicator who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team.
- Committed tomaintainingknowledge of advanced antenatal and intrapartum assessment skills.
The following would be highly regarded:
- Previous pregnancy assessment centre experience
- Previous experience in the management of acute women’s health problems, gynaecological and early pregnancy issues.
