About the Role
Relationships Australia NSW is seeking a passionate and skilled Counsellor to join our Wellways partnership program, supporting carers through the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based counselling services. In this rewarding role, you'll provide both individual and group counselling that promotes wellbeing, builds resilience, and supports carers experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, and other challenges associated with their caring responsibilities. Based across our Campbelltown and Bankstown locations, you'll work within a team-oriented and supportive environment, delivering person-centred, trauma-informed care while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who care for others.
Details
- Contract Type: Maximum-Term until 30 June 2027 (with potential for extension)
- Hours: Part-time or full-time opportunity (4 or 5 days per week)
- Location: Campbelltown and Bankstown (travel required between both sites)
- Salary: Approx $51-$56 per hour (depending on skills and experience) + 12% super, 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900. (Increase your take home pay! Calculate Your Savings at
- Clinical supervision provided by RANSW, with additional day-to-day support from the Wellways team
- Extra annual leave days between Christmas and New Year

What You'll Bring
- A tertiary qualification in counselling, psychology, psychotherapy, social work, or a related discipline
- Current registration or membership with AHPRA, AASW, PACFA or ACA
- Demonstrated counselling experience, ideally with a minimum of three years post-qualification experience
- Sound knowledge and practical application of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Experience facilitating groups and delivering wellbeing-focused interventions
