CVIS is comprised of the primary intelligence unit known as the Corrections Victoria Intelligence Unit (CVIU) as well as localised prison intelligence units and within Post Sentence Facilities across Victoria.What you will doAs intelligence officer, you will help identify threats and support decisions that keep people safe.You will work mainly in Ravenhall, with travel across Victoria and occasional overnight stays.You will:collect, record and analyse information to help people make informed decisionsprepare clear reports and briefings on threats, patterns and trendshelp plan operations that address risks in prisons and the communitywork with staff and other agencies to share information through secure systemsmonitor prisoner calls and mail to identify risks and share findings with authorised people.About youYou must hold Australian citizenship and obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance within 12 months, unless already held.You must complete the Corrections Victoria Intelligence Development Program within six months.You should also have:knowledge of corrections and the issues that affect Victoria's prison systeman understanding of intelligence methods and laws governing corrections,
serious offenders and human rightsexperience using Microsoft Office and information systems, preferably Palantir or similar toolssound judgement and the ability to solve problems, adapt to change and work well with people from different backgrounds.To learn even more about this role, please read the position description.
