The Role
We are seeking a motivated teacher who is committed to ensuring success for all students through the delivery of quality teaching and the provision of a positive, culturally responsive, and inclusive classroom environment. The successful applicant will ideally show strong knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and will have the ability to deliver engaging English programs to students in Years 7–12. They will ideally use effective literacy teaching strategies, differentiate learning to meet diverse student needs, and contribute positively to student wellbeing, engagement and achievement. We are seeking a teacher who builds positive and respectful relationships with students and colleagues and demonstrates a commitment to the school-wide approach to Positive Behaviour Support. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional teaching team, contribute to a positive school culture and engage in ongoing professional learning is highly valued. Experience in delivering small-group literacy tuition is desirable.

Mobility appointments
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school. *Note that south west teachers are not eligible to move to another south west school under this trial. Eligibility
- hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration .
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
