About The Role:
- We are seeking a Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team, providing both clinical assessment (e.g. Autism, ADHD, cognitive) and psychological intervention for children and adolescents. This role involved conducting clinical interviews, administering and interpreting assessment tools, preparing diagnostic reports, delivering feedback,
and providing evidence-based psychotherapeutic intervention to clients and families in a supportive and strengths based manner. within this role you will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents, including Autism, ADHD, cognitive, learning, and educational.
- Conducting clinical interviews with children, adolescents, parents, and other relevant stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of presenting concerns and strengths.
- Selecting, administering, scoring, and interpreting a range of standardised psychological assessment tools.
- Preparing high-quality, clinically appropriate assessment and diagnostic reports, including clear recommendations for home, school, and other relevant settings.
- Providing assessment feedback to clients, parents, and relevant professionals in a clear, accessible, and strengths-based manner.
- Providing evidence-based psychological intervention to children and adolescents presenting with a range of emotional, behavioural, developmental, and mental health concerns.
- Developing individualised treatment goals and therapeutic plans in collaboration with clients and families.
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and other professionals.
- Liaising with families, schools, GPs, paediatricians, and other relevant professionals to support coordinated care.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, case notes, reports, and other relevant records.
- Participating in clinical supervision, professional development, case consultation, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Contributing to a supportive, inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming, and strengths-based clinical environment.
- We have full time or part time positions available. The role will be based in our Caroline Springs clinic, with options to work at other clinics within Scribble on an as needed basis.
About You
- As our newest Psychologist, you will have a passion for paediatrics and a caring and empathetic approach to your work.
- Candidates must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and other professionals.
- A commitment to neurodiversity-affirming and inclusive practice, with an understanding of the importance of individualised and culturally responsive care.
- Strong written and organisational skills, including the ability to prepare clear, comprehensive, and clinically appropriate reports.
- A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to work closely with psychologists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, families, schools, and other professionals.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
- Strong reflective practice, including openness to supervision, feedback, and continued clinical growth.
- Experience working in a paediatric role
- Previous experience conducting standardised assessments and familiarity with tools such as the MIGDAS-2, DIVA-5, WPPSI/WISC are highly regarded but not essential.
- Masters of Psychology or equivalent
- General AHPRA registration is required for this position
- Working with Children Check and National Police Check
