Boilermakers – Mackay Workshop 5/2 or 7/7 | 10 & 12 HR Shifts | Day & Nights
Westhill Services is currently looking for experienced Boilermakers to join our workshop operations in Mackay.
We have a strong pipeline of heavy fabrication work and multiple roster options available, including:
5/2 roster – 10 hour shifts
7/7 roster – 12 hour shifts
Day and night shift positions
Overtime and weekend work available
These are workshop-based roles working on heavy mining equipment and large fabrication projects.
The Work
Depending on current projects and workshop requirements, you may be involved in:
- Heavy fabrication and mining equipment repairs
- Dump truck trays and bodies
- Excavator and loader buckets
- Dozer blades and attachments
- Crack and structural repairs
- Plate replacement and wear packages
- Gouging, grinding and welding
- Reading drawings and repair scopes
- General heavy fabrication and workshop duties
- Heavy fabrication or mining equipment experience
- Robust MIG/FCAW welding experience
- Ability to work from drawings and repair scopesHigh standard of workmanship
- Ability to work safely and independently
- Reliable attendance and a good work ethic
- Current driver’s licence
Experience working on large mining equipment will be highly regarded, however experienced Boilermakers from other heavy fabrication backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
