McArthur is recruiting two APS5 Compliance Officers for a major Commonwealth Government regulatory agency in Canberra.
These opportunities will suit detail-oriented candidates with experience across compliance, financial assessment, audit, assurance, grants, finance or structured quality-review environments.
The opportunity
You will undertake structured compliance assessments and review financial and supporting information to determine accuracy, completeness and compliance with legislative and procedural requirements.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing financial documentation and formal submissions, undertaking compliance checks and enquiries, identifying inconsistencies or potential non-compliance, assisting with statutory funding assessments and payment processes, and preparing accurate records and advice for decision-makers.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked in financial audits, quality checking, compliance assessments or similar structured review environments . Accounting, commerce, finance or related qualifications or practical experience are highly regarded.

You do not need to have worked within this exact regulatory scheme previously. Strong transferable financial/compliance assessment experience is valuable.
You will need strong attention to detail, analytical ability, clear written communication and the ability to make well-reasoned assessments against legislation, policy and procedures.

$82,336-$90,234 + 15.4% superannuation
