Our Mackay workshop is in high demand from Tier 1 mining clients, and we're looking to recruit experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our team.
We're recruiting for workshop-based positions operating on a 7/7 roster, working across a variety of large scale mining equipment. You'll be involved in major component change-outs, repairs and full machine rebuilds on some of the industry's largest equipment
Role requirements:
Diagnosis, repair and maintenance of heavy mining and civil equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr)
Full machine rebuilds and major overhauls
Mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic system repairs and testing
Diagnosis and fault-finding of mechanical issues across multiple systems
Work on ultra-class mining equipment, including haul trucks and excavators
Working safely and efficiently within workshop systems and procedures
Operation within company QA standards and meeting customer expectations
Hardworking approach, reliability and ability to work effectively when unsupervised
Ability to supply clean D&A; upon request
Must be an Australian resident
Applicants to provide:
Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
Experience in rebuilds, overhauls, and major component change outs
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
Minimum 2 years post trade experience - essential
Beneficial tickets, such as Forklift, EWP and Working at Heights - preferred
