The successful applicant will deliver engaging Mathematics and Science in 2027 for programs to secondary students, differentiate curriculum to meet diverse learning needs, and build positive and respectful relationships with young people. You will undertake some Home Room Teacher responsibilities, serving as a consistent point of contact for a small group of students and supporting their engagement, wellbeing and educational progress. You will support students to develop positive routines, goal-setting skills and readiness for learning, work collaboratively with teachers, youth workers and support staff to support student success, contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment, monitor, assess and report on student progress, and support students to achieve academic, social and personal growth.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Mathematics and Science programs to secondary students
- Differentiate curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Build positive and respectful relationships with young people

About you
- A registered teacher, or eligible for registration, with the Queensland College of Teachers
- Experienced or confident teaching Mathematics and/or Science in a secondary setting
- Passionate about supporting young people who may have previously disengaged from education
- Flexible, resilient and relationship-focused
- Committed to inclusive education and student wellbeing
- Able to contribute positively to a collaborative and multidisciplinary team environment
- Experience working with students presenting complex educational, behavioural or wellbeing needs will be highly regarded but is not essential
