About the role:

As a Civil Designer you will be responsible for providingprofessional civil engineering design, drafting and project supportservices for the planning, development and delivery of the City'sinfrastructure programs. You will prepare engineering designs,specifications, estimates and technical documentation, andcoordinating assigned projects, liaising with stakeholders,consultants and contractors to achieve project outcomes.

This is a hands-on position where your technical skills willdirectly contribute to the development of roads, drainage, andcivil infrastructure that supports our vibrant community.

What you’ll be doing:

- Creating and delivering detailed designs and cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects.




- Using Microstation, 12D and other CAD software to complete accurate drawings.
- Undertaking traffic investigations and develop practical solutions.
- Liaising with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure projects run smoothly.
- Providing expert advice on standards, specifications, and policies.
- Conducting site inspections and resolving design-related issues.

What you’ll bring to the role:

- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or experience in civil design.
- Solid CAD skills (Microstation and 12D preferred).
- Knowledge of estimating, budgeting, and projectadministration.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to workcollaboratively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuousimprovement.

Pre-employment Requirements:

- Current C class driver’s licence
- National Police Clearance not more than six months old
- White Card
- Proof of right to work in Australia
