Hunter New England Mental Health Service is seeking applications from suitably qualified Forensic Psychiatrists.

Candidates must possess:

- A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the RANZCP.
- Evidence of being a medical expert, demonstrated by recent and comprehensive experience in Forensic Psychiatry.

HNELHD Senior Medical Recruitment & Medical Settlement Concierge Support: Uniquely Hunter New England Health is supported by a dedicated Senior Medical Recruitment Team and Medical Settlement Concierge Service, focused on making the transition to working in the district as seamless as possible. From initial enquiry and appointment through to onboarding, credentialing and relocation support, the team provides personalised assistance for clinicians and their families. This end-to-end approach ensures new medical staff and families, including furry family members, feel welcomed, well supported and able to settle quickly, so they can focus on delivering outstanding patient care and enjoying living in our district.

- Salary Packaging - up to $9K for living expenses and $2.6K meal and entertainment
- Annual TESL allowance - TESL is an entitlement to paid leave for the purposes of training, education and study for Staff Specialists. Up to 25 days per year (5 weeks) for full-time staff, pro-rata for part-time

Our care spans all ages and levels - from early intervention to inpatient and community-based recovery services. Our services are structured by geographic areas and age groups - child & adolescent, adult, and older persons - and are supported by skilled multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, registrars, allied health, nurses, and administrative staff. Consultants work collaboratively and may provide peer support and cross-cover across the Greater Newcastle and Lake Macquarie regions.
