The Company:

The Company has been operating for over 15 years andis an independent respected specialist in compliance management for heightprotection prevention and safety regulations. Having a genuine motivationtowards employees' safety and wellbeing in their employment, they are dedicatedto keeping them protected and secure. Backed by a specialist team of heightsafety consultants in the past 2 years they have expanded into the rope accessindustry, they are now seeking to employ a Project Manager based in Sydney witha trade background and experience in Rope Access & construction managementto join their Sydney Rope Access team.

The Position:

Upon receiving a current jobfrom the Sales team you will learn the scope of work including the approvedbudget and obtain a full understanding of the project. You will communicate anyconcernsor considerations regarding the scope of work and / or approvedbudget to the responsible salesperson. Depending on the size of the job ortender, you will allocate the job to the preferred in house team orsubcontractor for the task and schedule the job with the client.
Depending on the terms andconditions with subcontractors, you will be responsible for preparing andorganizing everything that is needed for the job and ensure that the appointedsubcontractor has all the relevant information. This includes but is not limitedto research for materials / products, purchasing and delivering goods to thejob site, as per the specifications and / or quotation.
Upon commencementofthe job,



you will ensure a smooth start on the first day (this can typicallytake between half an hour or half a day). Ensure that the subcontractor haseverything he needs, and the job site is established with safety procedures inplace.
Inspect progress of thejob quality daily and help the subcontractor to resolve any problem that maycome up as fast as possible. Update the client with the progress of the job andhandle any complaints or upsets immediately as they rise calmly and peacefully.
Upon completion of thejob, verifythat the job was delivered as promised per the scope of work /quotation. Correct the subcontractor if there are any outpoints or defects andconfirmwith the client that everything is done.
Compileall thepaperwork and send and / or archive accordingly. This includes but is notlimited to SWMS, bills, subcontractor statements, pictures, reports,certificates, etc.
Provide all requiredinformation to the Accounts Manager for correct and accurate invoicing.
It's YOUR job to ensure that (1) we deliverwhat wepromised, (2) thecustomer isalways happy, and (3) the job isprofitable forthe company.

The Ideal Candidate…

- Will have aminimum of 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager within theconstruction industry.
- Will be able to demonstrate experience withcompiling project reporting including safety and financial
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Be Professional, well-spoken, and collaborative in liaising withcustomers.
- Will have prior experience or qualification in project management(favourable)
- Be driven to succeed and motivated to perform in a fast-pacedenvironment.
- Computer and English literacy are both essential
- A current Drivers Licence

Typical Daily routine:

7:00-11:00 Job sites - start jobs, inspections,meetings on site.
11:00-12:00 Logistics - purchase and deliver materials.
12:00-3:00 Office - schedule jobs, reply to emails,administration, meetings.
3:00-4:00 Job sites - sign off jobs.
