The opportunity
The Senior Property Officer plays a key role in managing andoptimising Council's property portfolio, providing specialistadvice on leasing, licensing and property governance. Workingacross the organisation and with external stakeholders, thisposition supports informed decision-making, ensures compliance withrelevant legislation and governance frameworks, and helps deliverpositive commercial and community outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Manageleasing and licensing activities, includingnegotiation, implementation and administration.
- Provideexpert property advice and manage complex propertytransactions.
- Developand maintain governance processes, policies andprocedures.
- Conductaudits of lease and licence income to support financialaccountability.
- Buildstrong stakeholder relationships and ensure legislativecompliance.
What you need to succeed
- Tertiary qualification in Property or a relateddiscipline.
- Strongexperience in property leasing and licensing, ideallywithin local government or the publicsector.
- Knowledge of Crown land leasing, licensing and complexproperty matters.
- Provennegotiation skills and ability to manage complexproperty agreements and stakeholder relationships.
- Soundunderstanding of relevant legislation, governanceframeworks and reporting requirements.
- Flexibility to represent Council and fulfil therequirements of the role outside standard businesshours, including attendance at Council,
committee,stakeholder and community meetings as required.

Pre-Employment Requirements
Progressed candidates will be required to complete a NationalPolice Record Check, a Working With Children Check (WWCC).Candidates must also holda valid Victorian Driver's License.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident orhold a valid work permit or visa with full unrestricted workingrights. Work eligibility will be checked as part of the recruitmentprocess.
