6am start, Monday to Friday. No weekends, no night shifts and no rotating rosters. Standard hours are 6:00am-2:30pm. Some flexibility is needed to finish up on busier days.
We're looking for a hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to lead a small team at our Campbellfield distribution centre. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you'll keep daily operations running smoothly by making sure stock is managed accurately and customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched safely and on time.
This is a working leadership role. You'll be on the floor alongside your team as much as you're leading it, so it's ideal for an experienced leading hand or senior storeperson ready for their first team leader role, or a team leader who wants better work-life balance.
What you'll do
Open the warehouse each morning and get the team set up for the day
Allocate daily tasks and manage workloads so orders go out on time
Coordinate receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch and loading
Work hands-on with picking, packing and general warehouse duties
Liaise with freight companies and supplier warehouses
Run weekly toolbox meetings and keep safety front of mind
Train new starters and give your team day-to-day coaching and feedback
Escalate ongoing performance or conduct concerns to the Warehouse Manager
About you
Experience as a leading hand,
team leader or senior storeperson in a warehouse
Current LF forklift licence (counterbalance), which is mandatory
Comfortable leading by example and working hands-on
Organised, reliable and good with detail
A solid understanding of warehouse safety and stock control
Highly regarded
Experience with Chep pallets and transfers
FMCG, beverage or distribution experience
Experience with Cin7 (DEAR) or a similar inventory system
