About the roleBased in Mount Isa and supporting communities across the North West region, you will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care while helping shape and strengthen sexual assault response services across the health service.Deliver specialised trauma-informed counselling, psychosocial assessments and risk management for individuals impacted by sexual assault and interpersonal trauma.Advocate for and support victim-survivors throughout their healthcare, forensic, legal and recovery journeys.Provide expert advice and guidance to clinicians, contribute to child protection and domestic and family violence responses, and build strong partnerships with key stakeholders.Working with usEligible health practitioners entitled to accrue an additional three days professional development leave per annum, resulting in a total of six days career development leave per annum.Rural and Remote incentive: Category D allowance of $431.22 p.f.Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available.Professionally, our HHS values professionalism, leadership capability, excellence and resilience in our staff. including Criminal History checks.This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.A period of probation may apply.This position may be required to obtain a Blue Card if clinically seeing a child under the age of 18 years as part of role.
