It will process up to 300,000 tonnes of waste annually, generating sustainable electricity for thousands of homes while reducing landfill. ACCIONA is delivering this complex infrastructure project with cutting-edge technology and a strong focus on environmental outcomes.About the opportunityTo implement and monitor systems and processes through good practice to maximise the process and ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance on a 24-hour shift system.As part of a team, carry out plant duties to support the process performance within health, safety and environmental compliance. The role involves control of materials and traffic throughout the facility.Build and maintain relationships with colleagues to ensure effective communication across the site.
You will be required to be totally flexible and carry out other duties identified from time to time ensuring site objectives are achieved.ResponsibilitiesCarry out routine tasks and testing of plant equipmentUpdate the shift log including plant and process changes, diligent shift handover to ensure effective communication to the following shift.Operate the weighbridge and offloading systems within contractual requirementsEnsure that all defect reporting within CMMS is effective and followed through to completionAssist the Tipping Hall Supervisor to operate the facility through timely operation of materials management systems and processes.Engage with and form strong working relationships with the Shift Fuel Reception Operators enabling seamless workflows lead by the Tipping Hall Supervisor.Required Skills and Competencies3+ Industrial work experience2+ experience around heavy machinery and moving plantExperience in working closely with large and diverse O&M; TeamsPrevious experience within the renewable energy or waste management sectors (highly desirable)Current Drivers LicenceACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
